Sambal Tomatoes with Cabbage

There are hundreds kinds of sambal in Indonesia. No matter where you go, you'll be able to try different ones.
Sambal is a kinda condiment, as long as with Bird's Eye Chili Pepper (Chili padi) or cabe rawit in Indonesian, then it is sambal.

Ingredients:
1/2 piece of cabbage (cut pieces and boiled)

Sambal ingredients:
2 spoons of sambal oelek (you can buy it in every Asia shop)
3 tomatoes (cut small pieces or blend if you like)
1 onion (cut small pieces or blend if you like)
2 cloves of garlic (grind them)
1 ts chicken broth
2 ts sugar
1 lemon (juice)
oil for the pan

How to cook!
  • Prepare the boiled cabbage on the plate
  • Put some oil into the pan and then fry the cut onion and tomatoes together
  • Put the garlic into sambal oelek
  • Chicken broth and sugar inside
  • Try it if you like it. You can put more sambal oelek if you like it spicier
  • Pour the lemon juice inside (Tamarind juice is the best, but you can use lemon juice if you can't get it)
PS: You can also serve sambal tomat with boiled broccolis
